Job Description

MUMPS Developer, Mid

The Opportunity:

Are you looking for an opportunity to not just develop software, but to build a system that will positively impact the lives of our nation’s veterans? As a MUMPS developer, you can solve a problem with a complete end-to-end solution in a fast-paced, Agile environment. We’re looking for a developer with the advanced skills needed to diagnose and fix issues affecting VistA products for our Veterans Affairs (VA) client.

Using Agile life cycle development, you’ll build and repair health and clinical applications for the VA. You’ll analyze user needs and the environment to make sure the solution you’re developing considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements.

Work with us as we build systems to change the VA for the better.

Join us. The world can’t wait.

You Have:

  • 4+ years of experience with MUMPS software development

  • Knowledge of architecture styles and APIs
  • Ability to understand front-end users' requirements
  • Ability to communicate with front-end users to replicate their issues
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Associate’s degree in a CS field

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience working in VistA environments
  • Experience troubleshooting VA clinical products
  • Experience using ServiceNow, Jira, and GitHub
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams collaboration tools
  • Experience in the VA or DoD
  • Knowledge of Agile frameworks
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle Process, including Agile development, Scrum, or Kanban
  • Bachelor’s degree in a CS field
  • SAFe Certifications
  • VistA or MUMPS Learning Program Certification
