Nissan is currently seeking a dynamic individual to fill an opening for Technical Lead at our Franklin, TN Americas’ Headquarters.
A Day in the Life:
- The Technical Lead role includes responsibilities of the business/technology analyst, as well as technical/process lead. The Technical Lead maintains an expertise in specific technologies, technology solution and/or business application. This role acts as an internal consultant responsible for investigating processes, technology, cost, and strategy while identifying options for improving and innovating the business with the use of Information Systems and Technology.
- Responsible for working with business users in the Fleets, CPO and RV Management business team, helping define their Information Systems needs and translate into requirements for delivery by technology teams.
- Coordinate and provide oversight for application development, maintenance, and production support performed by multiple IT vendors, and act as a liaison between business and technical teams. Act as functional subject matter expert for maintenance and enhancement of CPO & Fleets System product, with specific focus on sales functions. Review and approve analysis and solution presented by technical teams from IT vendors.
- Demonstrate strong analytical, technical, managerial, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to read, understand, interpret, and clearly communicate complex system issues to both management and peers.
- Work independently with business users to define concepts, support the creation of business cases, estimate high‑level costs and resource needs, and appropriately challenge assumptions or proposed execution plans.
- Contribute as part of an agile product team by completing Business Analyst deliverables—including application testing—and provide leadership during troubleshooting efforts to restore critical application functionality caused by data, configuration, or user‑related issues.
- Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, escalate to management when needed, and maintain excellent verbal and written communication skills while engaging professionally with executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
Who We’re Looking for:
Bachelor’s degree with 6+ Years overall IS/IT experience with at least:
- 5 years application development and maintenance experience
- 2 years experience in working with third party/external vendors
- Prior experience working with offshore personnel is a plus
- Experience as a functional expert for J2EE/Java based applications
- AWS cloud and Salesforce experience is a plus
- Working knowledge of interface with external systems
- Interface with mainframe system experience a plus
- Business process knowledge of Fleets sales process and Certified Pre Owned process a strong plus
- Basic knowledge of Project Management methods, tools, and application development process
