What you will do

• Tackle specific problem spaces critical to Klarna’s current needs, with ample growth opportunities in a fast-paced business environment.

• Bring innovative ideas from diverse areas, including information retrieval, large-scale system design, data storage/processing, security, artificial intelligence, UI design, and mobile development.

• Develop your professional skills in an entrepreneurial organization that encourages working with your areas of interest.

• Use state-of-the-art technology to solve real problems for our customers at a massive scale.

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software; take full responsibility for the lifecycle of your code.

• Share your knowledge and help the team evolve best practices; act as both a mentor and mentee.

• Work in small, autonomous teams with short release cycles.

• Contribute to open-source projects: Klarna GitHub.

Who you are

• Proficient in TypeScript and Node.js.

• Experienced with common JavaScript libraries and frameworks.

• Skilled in React and React Native.

• Knowledgeable in product development, cloud technologies, and microservices.

• Passionate about writing clean and testable code.

• Familiar with Agile practices, including Pairing, TDD, BDD, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery.

Awesome to have

• Experience with JavaScript / TypeScript.

• Familiarity with React + React Native with Redux.

• Experience with Node.js and Express.js.

• Knowledge of REST API and GraphQL API.

• Familiarity with Kafka, internal design systems, AWS, Splunk, Datadog, Jenkins, and Docker.
