Position Summary

As a Technical SME on the RxClaim Platform Integrity team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, scalability, and modernization of our pharmacy claims processing systems. These systems handle millions of prescriptions daily, directly impacting the health and well-being of our customers. You will lead technical initiatives, support platform health, and drive continuous improvement across our IBMi-based infrastructure.

**We prefer candidates be hybrid in Richardson, TX but can consider other hubs or remote for the right person.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical expert for RxClaim platform, ensuring system integrity and stability.
  • Monitor and enhance RxClaim system health and performance metrics.
  • Lead modernization efforts for IBMi systems, including automation and integration with cloud platforms.
  • Advocate for sound data architecture and maintain DB2i database integrity.
  • Standardize database and release-level deliverables across teams.
  • Manage release staging and environment builds for development and change management.
  • Collaborate with development and support teams to improve code release quality.
  • Maintain and enhance internal development tools and CI/CD processes.
  • Provide technical guidance to project teams and influence best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive IT experience with deep knowledge of IBMi system-level concepts, integration patterns and AI Implementation
  • 3+ years leading application teams to deliver technical improvements and initiatives.
  • 7+ years of experience in software development methodologies and platforms including strong experience with IBMi development and operations such as: Operating system fundamentals, System Admin Fundamentals, DB2i, RPG, RPGLE, CL, COBOL, COBOLLE, SQL, Experience with Synon and ALDON.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with RxClaim or similar pharmacy claim adjudication systems.
  • Background in Healthcare or Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM).
  • Experience in legacy system modernization.
  • Familiarity with IBMi integration with cloud platforms.
  • Experience in AI-driven system health monitoring.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or or equivalent experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$118,450.00 - $236,900.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
