Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Description Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Cyber Systems Engineer - 18154. This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program. What You’ll Get To Do: Perform threat modeling at the architecture, system, and design levels to identify potential vulnerabilities. Analyze and remediate security design flaws, ensuring robust protection throughout the development lifecycle. Design and document security architectures, controls, and mechanisms for hardware, software, and network components. Coach SEIT Test teams on the interpretation and verification of cyber security requirements and test procedures. Act as the primary liaison with compliance and accreditation teams, guaranteeing that all security artifacts meet regulatory and policy standards. Collaborate with cross functional engineering groups to integrate security best practices into system engineering processes. Implement and review requirement decomposition, derivation, and flow down. Implement and review traceability of requirements throughout a spec tree architecture. Support the architecture and design of baked in cybersecurity requirements and protections. Implement and review the application of cybersecurity profile stereotypes to a Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) Architecture Implement, review and assess cybersecurity system requirements verification/validation methods You’ll Bring These

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) discipline and 5 years of relevant experience, or a Masters’ Degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of relevant experience, or a PhD in a STEM discipline with 1 years of relevant experience. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need 3+ years of experience in systems security engineering, including threat modeling and security architecture design. Knowledge of security design principles, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies at the system and design level. Experience processing SOW, requirements, architecture, design, implementation, integration, verification & validation, etc. Familiarity with cyber security testing techniques and the ability to guide test teams in validating security requirements. Salary Range

$108,200.00 - $162,400.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
