Position Summary The QA Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test solutions to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise applications. This role works closely with development, product, and DevOps teams to embed quality throughout the SDLC, reduce manual testing effort, and accelerate release cycles through robust automation frameworks and CI/CD integration. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain UI, API, and integration automation frameworks for web and backend applications Analyze functional and technical requirements to identify high-value automation candidates and test coverage gaps Create, execute, and maintain automated test scripts within Agile sprints and release cycles Collaborate with developers and product owners to shift testing left and ensure quality from design through deployment Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and faster feedback loops Perform API testing, data validation (SQL), and backend verification to ensure end-to-end quality Identify, log, track, and triage defects using standard defect management tools, and perform root cause analysis Support SIT, UAT, regression, and smoke testing, including automation of repetitive test scenarios Continuously improve automation frameworks for stability, scalability, and maintainability Required Qualifications 3-5 years experience in QA automation engineering or SDET roles Hands-on experience with automation tools and frameworks for UI and API testing (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, REST-based testing tools) Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python) Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments with sprint-based delivery Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and test methodologies Experience with defect tracking and test management tools Preferred Qualifications: Experience with RxClaim configuration and adjudication workflows. Familiarity with healthcare domain and pharmacy benefit management (PBM) processes. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Experience automating test data setup and environment validations Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) for testing environments. Strong SQL skills for backend validation. Prior experience working in distributed offshore/onshore teams. Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Anticipated Weekly Hours 40 Time Type Full time Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $72,100.00 - $144,200.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. Our people fuel our future.
