What Application Development & Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value. Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications. Our Cardinal Health Market B2B ecommerce team is operating a Product Model with multiyear plans to improve the customer experience and bring new and exciting features to medical segment customers. These applications are micro-service, event, and API-driven and are built on Angular, Java Spring Boot, HCL Commerce, Google Cloud Functions, Apigee, Concourse, SonarQube, Veracode, and Git technologies. Responsibilities Establish oneself as SME on the application and provide technical leadership and guidance to a team that consists of onshore/offshore resources, including both contractors and FTE’s. Design and architect next generation application architectures across multiple domains including APIs, microservices, containerization, and cloud native applications. Build solution architectures that align requirements, reference architectures design patterns and technology standards to achieve low cost, solution agility and speed to market. Provide technical option analysis and estimates based on high level business requirements. Analyze system operations to identify areas of improvement with respect to system monitoring, capacity, and issue root causes and drive change that ensures continuous improvement in system stability and performance. Influence stakeholders and project team members on proposed design solutions that will set a precedence for the future of the organization. Define and deliver technical API strategy for external and internal customer integration. Anticipate, plan and deliver IT solutions that support enterprise strategic goals and enable increased business value (Idea incubation) Explore new technologies and industry trends and partner with the business to experiment and drive innovation. Demonstrate deep understanding of business processes and technology building blocks as well as recommend new practices, processes, metrics, or models. Acts as a mentor to less experienced colleagues driving them to think of outside of the box solutions and provide technical and administrative leadership, strategic direction, and governance. Manage execution against project plans and delivery commitments to deliver on-time, quality solutions which may require support from teams across the enterprise. Qualifications 8-12 years of software development, software engineering, technical architecture or related experience, preferred Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred 5+ years of experience in multiple programing languages like Java, Angular, REST/SOAP APIs and microservices architecture, highly preferred 4+ Years as Architect/Senior Engineer to handle multiple stack end to end, preferred Strong Experience with Angular v15+ Strong Experience in Java/J2EE background and Spring Boot framework. Experience with APIGEE, GKE and GCP, preferred Experience with modern responsive UI development and Single -SPA framework, SQL and NoSQL Databases. Experience with HCL Commerce, Commerce Search, and/or Apache Solar/Lucene is a plus. Experience with Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Launch, Adobe Analytics is a plus. Experience with different AI Models for development and Architecture is a plus. Experience with the agile methodology using tools like Jira and GitHub. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem resolution skills. Strong oral and written communication skills and desire to learn new technologies. Ability to work in a team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment is a must.
