Job Description
As the Director of Strategic Program Management, you will drive the execution of critical cross-enterprise programs – directly enabling and driving the project infrastructure in spaces like M&A, Strategic Planning, Market Intelligence, and Strategic Initiatives. This role is designed for a senior operator with deep experience leading the creating and execution of complex technical and nontechnical programs in large enterprise environments. We are keen to find someone who brings structure, rigor, and execution to ambiguous, multistakeholder problem spaces. You will work at the intersection of strategy and program management, ensuring the organization moves in sync with the tools and infrastructure that you create. Your ability to orchestrate people, anticipate dependencies, and drive predictable outcomes will directly shape our ability to win. What You’ll Own Drive end-to-end program management across M&A, Strategic Planning, Market Intelligence, and enterprise-wide Strategic Initiatives Build and manage program structures that bring clarity to complexity Lead multiworkstream initiatives involving engineering, product, GTM, and key corporate functions Create and leverage program management tools and workspaces to deliver results Execution & Operating Rhythm Excellence Establish governance models, decision frameworks, and executive-level reporting that drive alignment and accountability Translate strategy into clear execution plans with milestones, owners, metrics, and risks Maintain enterprise-wide execution velocity by anticipating issues and removing blockers early Build and enable the programmatic infrastructure to enable the team to move fast Leadership, Communication & Influence Deliver crisp, executive-ready narratives, updates, and recommendations that enable decisive decision making Influence senior leaders across a matrixed organization and build alignment among diverse stakeholders Bring a disciplined, structured approach to fastmoving initiatives with high levels of organizational sensitivity Technical Program Execution & Engineering Leadership Drive end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of the most complex technical programs and enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, translating strategy into clear execution plans with milestones, owners, metrics, and risks across multiple concurrent initiatives Partner deeply with engineering leadership to ensure technical feasibility, architectural soundness, and system design alignment across cloud technologies, software development processes, and platform architectures Navigate complex technical dependencies, infrastructure requirements, and integration challenges to inform program decisions and mitigate technical risks proactively Collaborate with product and engineering teams to balance short-term technical deliverables with long-term architectural strategies, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with platform roadmaps Your Background Bachelor’s in Business, Finance, Engineering, etc; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred PMP, Scrum, Agile certifications are a plus 10+ years leading large-scale, cross-enterprise programs in complex tech environments Strong technical background with solid understanding of software development processes, cloud technologies, and system architectures Track record of delivering high-impact technical and business programs Experienced collaborating with engineering, product, marketing, sales, finance, legal, and GTM teams Skilled in program design, governance, and operating models Excellent communication and executive influence Effective in ambiguous, matrixed environments; outcome-focused SaaS, software, cloud, or platform experience strongly preferred About Adobe Adobe empowers everyone to create through innovative platforms and tools that unleash creativity, productivity and personalized customer experiences. Pay Range
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $171,900 -- $326,800 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process. In California, the pay range for this position is $225,700 - $326,800 At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP). In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
