This individual contributor will work side by side with the Program Manager and Integrated Product Team (IPT) lead on execution, program reporting, monitoring performance, managing risks, addressing issues and other special projects, as needed. Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of project and schedules. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with IPT, and line managers. The candidate should understand program management and they should adhere to NG processes and apply them to working internal projects. They should have knowledge of industry practices and standards and demonstrate the skill and ability to perform professional tasks. This individual should possess leadership and team building capabilities and have strong interpersonal skills. Must possess solid organization abilities and be a motivated, flexible team player. Some travel may be required. Responsibilities (but are not limited to): Assess project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and reporting status Development, implementation, and maintenance of tools/templates for monitoring project progress Preparation of status reports and presentations for NGC internal and Customer meetings Conduct risk & opportunity management practices including identification, mitigation and realization, and ensure compliance to customer and program risk management requirements
Basic Qualifications
Principal Project Management Level 3: Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of related experience or similar fields OR: Masters with 3 years of experience in similar fields OR; PhD with 0 years of experience in. Experience with Microsoft tool suite; the ability to create, manage, and manipulate the tools, especially PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Teams Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance within a reasonable period as determined by the needs of the business Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period as determined by the needs of the business Sr. Principal Project Level 4: Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of related experience or similar field OR: Masters with 6 years of experience in similar fields OR; PhD with 4 years of experience in. Experience with Microsoft tool suite; the ability to create, manage, and manipulate the tools, especially PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Teams Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance within a reasonable period as determined by the needs of the business Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period as determined by the needs of the business
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree with 3 years of related experience, or a PhD with 1 year of related experience Experience with interfacing with all levels of employees and leadership Experience with risk management Experience with proposal development Experience with analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy Experience with prioritizing and completing multiple tasks within critical deadlines. Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders Preferred Active DoD Clearance Preferred Active Special Program Access (PAR) 2+ years’ experience in Project management, Program Integration/Execution Knowledge of Project Management principles and experience utilizing them professionally Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or similar Proven success managing multiple projects simultaneously Strong written and verbal communication, including presentation skills to senior leadership Defense Industry experience Experience working in technical engineering environment Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience Primary Level

$77,000.00 - $115,600.00 Secondary Level
Salary Range
$96,200.00 - $144,200.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
