Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an experienced Cyber Software Engineer to join our cross functional Northern Virginia Engineering Discipline team! This position will be located at a Mission Systems Sector site in Chantilly, VA. As a Cyber Software Engineer, you will have the following responsibilities: Develop and deliver software to meet mission partner requirements. Participate in Agile team process Develop both user and developer-level documentation. Participate in setting the team’s technical direction in alignment with operational requirements and the sponsor’s technical roadmap. Collaborate with the team to review and improve processes (development, test, governance, stakeholder interactions), Communicate project status, roadblocks, technical and process proposals to the team and stakeholders. Prioritize development efforts with mission partners. Define the complexity, scope, and resources needed to integrate new requirements. Basic Qualifications for Cyber Software Engineer (T02): Willing and able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) Minimum of 2 years’ experience with Bachelor’s in a STEM discipline; 0 years’ experience with Masters. Experience with programming languages such as C/C++, Java and/or Python Experience working in Linux and Windows environments. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes Experience developing software on Agile teams. Knowledge of software development life cycle. Preferred Qualifications: Creative problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to visualize and implement innovative solutions to problems. Strong ability to collaborate and excel on a team. Active DoD Top Secret / SCI security clearance Experience with Development Operations (DevOps) Experience with Jenkins and GitHub Experience with Atlassian Jira Experience Scripting languages (bash, bat etc.). Experience with JSON Knowledge of system and network architecture Knowledge of SIGINT operations Masters in a STEM discipline Primary Level Salary Range: $101,000.00 - $151,400.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
