Job Description Summary As a Staff Data Visualization Engineer you will develop innovative data visualization solutions to support a broad range of data centric analytical applications. This includes a range of BI (Descriptive Solutions) and BA (Advanced Analytics Solutions), and associated development, deployment, and training activities leveraging leading edge toolsets. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities: Design, develop, implement, and support Spotfire reporting dashboards Partner with Spotfire developers, IT Project managers and functional teams to gather requirements Develop user stories based on functional user input Participate in regular planning sessions in an Agile type of environment Conduct analysis and convert business requirements into visual based analytics Conduct analysis for mapping source inputs and assist in design strategy for data modeling Daily maintenance support of dashboards Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with minimum years of experience 4 years Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 4 years of professional experience OR associate's degree with minimum of 7 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 9 years of professional experience Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Data Engineering Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience Eligibility Requirement: Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Desired Characteristics: Good aesthetic skills and ability to propose visualizations based on requirements Ability to quickly learn complex source systems and business concepts and convert Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to technical solutions Ability to implement business logic with advanced Tableau calculations and multiple sources Extensive SQL skills and knowledge in Oracle and Postgres SQL querying Thorough understanding of data normalization & data modelling concepts Knowledge in Spotfire administration including user level access/security, Extract refresh, scheduling etc Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong, demonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction Familiar with or have practiced Agile Development Experience working with global cross-functional, cross-business teams Ability to think analytically and be an excellent problem solver Note To comply with US immigration and other legal requirements, it is necessary to specify the minimum number of years' experience required for any role based within the USA.
